Karishma Prakash, manager of Deepika Padukone, will appear before the NCB in the drugs case on Wednesday. The NCB team said in court that they would not arrest Karisma. In the court, Karishma’s lawyer said that she is ready to appear before the NCB and will also record her statement.
Earlier, it was being said that the NCB could arrest Karisma in the drugs case. Because Karisma did not reach for questioning despite the NCB giving her summons twice. In view of this, Karisma filed an application for anticipatory bail in the court.
Drugs were found from Karishma’s house
Recently, Hashish was recovered from Karishma’s house during the NCB raid. After which Karisma was summoned by the NCB twice. According to NCB sources, in case number 15/20, both Karishma and Deepika Padukone were interrogated by sitting face to face.
Karishma gave a false reply on the chat. Karishma told NCB that in their chat, Weed meant Indian cigarette, Hashish meant tobacco cigarette. Deepika also gave a similar answer when asked about the goods. Deepika and Karishma went to the NCB to do a lot of homework. So both of them gave the same answer to the questions related to drugs. However, it was clearly stated that NCB was not satisfied with the response of both.
