After changing the name of actor Akshay Kumar’s film from ‘Lakshmi Bomb’ to ‘Lakshmi’, Karani Sena is now focused on MX Player’s web series ‘Ashram’. Karni Sena has described this series as an attempt to tarnish Hindu culture and also said that this series is presenting a wrong example of ashrams to the new generation. Meanwhile, the media interviews of Prakash Jha, the director of this series, have been canceled on Thursday.
Karni Sena has started showing an aggressive stance for Prakash Jha’s web series ‘Ashram’. The upcoming episodes of the series are going to be released as ‘Ashram Chapter 2- The Dark Side’ and after watching the trailer of this, Surjit Singh, the state organization minister of Karni Sena in Maharashtra has sent a legal notice to the producers of this series.
The notice stated that the trailer of ‘Ashram Chapter 2 – The Dark Side’ hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. With this, the negative image of Hinduism is being presented to the coming generations. The character in the series is not based on any particular person, so this entire series is misrepresenting the ancient traditions, customs, Hindu culture and ashram arrangements of Hindus. Due to this, the wrong image of all these practices is also spreading in people’s minds.
It is written in the notice that in the first season of ‘Ashram’ series, some more controversial things were shown and the same things continue in its second part as well. Therefore, its trailer should be removed immediately and the release of the entire web series should be stopped immediately. There has been no response from the makers of the ‘Ashram’ series yet in return for this legal notice from Karni Sena. Media interviews of the series are constantly being followed back and forth. On Thursday, Prakash Jha was supposed to talk to some selected journalists about this series, but these interviews were canceled on this occasion.
