Salman Khan Blackbuck Poaching Case: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has apologized to Jodhpur Sessions Court in 2003 for presenting wrong affidavit. The case is about the 1998 blackbuck poaching. Salman Khan appeared for video conferencing and hearing with his lawyer for the case. The actor’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat told the court that Salman Khan should be given amnesty for submitting the wrong affidavit. According to IANS, government lawyer Bhavani Singh Bhati demanded the case when a case of misleading the court was registered against the actor.
According to ANI, ‘The Jodhpur District and Sessions Court on Thursday dismissed the Rajasthan government’s plea on this false affidavit.’ Salman’s Khan lawyer Hastimal Saraswat told the news agency, “The Jodhpur District and Sessions Court rejected both the state government’s pleas in a detailed order. We replied only in 2006 that no wrong affidavit has been introduced and such arguments are being presented only to harass Salman Khan. ‘

Salman Khan was arrested in 1998 near Kankani Gagaon for hunting two blackbuck. However, he was soon granted bail. In this case the actor was asked to perform an arm license. Salman Khan then submitted an affidavit in 2003. In which he said that his license has been lost. However, the court later found out that the actor’s arm license was not lost, but was offered for renewal.
